The ASU Jefferson-Shelby County Chapter participated in the Read Across America program. Financial Secretary La-Tanya Dunham read “Are You My Mother” by P.D. Eastman to Ms. Hill’s Kindergarten class and Emma Kate by Patricia Polacco to Ms. Rust’ s Gifted Class at Midfield Elementary School. The picture is of the gifted students. Mrs. Lightfoot celebrated her students making Reading Benchmarks during this week and rewarded them with ice cream treats.
