Our Committees

Audit Committee

The Audit Committee plays a pivotal role in ensuring financial transparency and accountability within the Jefferson/Shelby County Metro Chapter. Charged with auditing the records of the Treasurer and Financial Secretary at least twice annually, members may also request an internal audit or opt to engage professional auditing services to uphold the highest standards of fiscal integrity.

By-Laws and Conflict Resolution Committee

Dedicated to upholding the Chapter's governing principles, the By-Laws and Conflict Resolution Committee meticulously evaluates all proposed By-Laws, Amendments, and Resolutions. With a commitment to transparency and inclusivity, amendments and resolutions are presented in writing at least thirty (30) days prior to a regular meeting for member review and voting.

Membership Committee

At the heart of our organization's growth, the Membership Committee actively cultivates strategies to expand the Jefferson/Shelby County Metro Chapter's membership base. Representing member interests within the Executive Committee, they compile a roster of financial members and facilitate membership dues collection, ensuring seamless financial management.

The Election Committee

The Election Committee plays a vital role in ensuring transparent and fair elections within the Jefferson/Shelby County Metro Chapter. This committee oversees the electoral process, administers nominations, conducts candidate screenings, and organizes voting procedures. By upholding democratic principles and facilitating member participation, the Election Committee upholds the integrity of our organization's leadership selection.

The Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee identifies and recommends qualified candidates for leadership positions within the Jefferson/Shelby County Metro Chapter. Committed to fostering a diverse and capable leadership team, this committee evaluates potential nominees based on their skills, experience, and dedication to our organization's mission. Through a thorough selection process, the Nominating Committee ensures that our leadership reflects the values and aspirations of our membership.

Community Outreach and Public Engagement Committee (COPE):

Student Relations Sub-Committee

Committed to nurturing the next generation, the Student Relations Sub-Committee offers vital support to K-12 and college students. From facilitating attendance at ASU athletic events to providing guidance on ACT/SAT preparation and scholarship opportunities, they empower students to excel academically and thrive in their educational journey.
